\"\"<\/a>96-001 U.S.S. Keokuk<\/em>: 1\/96th<\/sup> Scale.<\/strong> Approx. 19 \u00bd\u201d long overall. This Union ironclad was built as a test bed for laminated armor, which proved to be a dismal failure. The ship took over 90 hits during an attack on Fort Sumter and sank off John\u2019s Island. Her guns were salvaged by the Confederates and used to defend Charleston. This kit features reworked resin and metal fittings, and is of moderate difficulty. Can be finished with or without cutaway. Also Features all new re-worked illustrations for assembly, created by Mr. Jim Houbrick.<\/p>\n
